The innovative SaltVac system is composed of a powerful motor which provides enough suction to move salt from your garage to almost anywhere in your home. The SaltVac has the ability to lift the salt vertically up to 16’ and a distance of up to 70’ from source to bin.

The system uses an onboard computer that controls the speed of the motor along with an automatic safety shut off to keep the SaltVac bin from overflowing with salt. The control panel is normally located in the garage. The panel has an on/off switch, a rheostat and a Bi-colored LED which indicates the level of salt in your SaltVac bin.

When the switch is turned on and the rheostat knob is turned clockwise the suction will increase and you are ready to transfer salt from the source to the bin. The source can be a stainless steel bin mounted on your garage wall or the SaltVac hose for direct transfer of salt from bag to bin.

We sell and install water softener systems with both the traditional salt bin or the innovative SaltVac bin. The SaltVac can be retrofitted with your water softener in existing homes or in new homes under construction. If you are planning to have a water softener installed in your new home be sure to give us a call or email us before the 4-way inspection is done (before sheetrock work is started). The installation of transfer piping is much less expensive to install before sheetrock work is started rather than after.
